UNESCO CHAIRS IN COMMUNICATION
ORBICOM
The Network of UNESCO Chairs in Communication (Orbicom) was established in 1994 with the primary objective of sharing expertise and research in communication across various mandates. Today, the network has more than 275 members and 65 Chairs worldwide, bringing together experts in communication and related disciplines. Managed by an international General Secretariat, Orbicom oversees the network’s daily operations, while a board of directors is responsible for discussing and implementing the network’s operating plans and strategies. Orbicom’s commitment to promoting and advancing communication as a field of study and practice is evident in its extensive global network of renowned experts.
